Entry 2: Calzone Pizza

I think I see this every time I am on Pinterest.
It's a calzone ring. Looks simple enough, and honestly, I have only ever had a calzone one other time.  The recipe, which comes from squidoo.com, is so easy and simple. Their recipe called for a homemade pizza dough, but seeing as I am lazy and like cooking to be pleasant, I bought a Pillsbury Pizza Crust.  It was already in a rectangle shape, so it was perfect! I didn't take photo's of the step by step process, since you can get the full directions of the original website, but here is how mine turned out:
I also chopped up some veggies and made a salad to go with it

Yum Yum Yum!
Matt gave the Calzone two thumps up, and AC girl gave it an "I don't like it" and only ate her "cumbers" (cucumbers in 2 year old lingo).

I think it is definitely something I will be making again!

You choose

I saw this pin on Pinterest yesterday. It was one of those things that just hit me right in the heart. Growing up, my parents always told me that my attitude was a choice. I usually rolled my eyes and chose to be annoyed with them. I didn't really listen. But, as an adult, I am finding out more and more that they are right. It is so easy to let little stresses, like losing your keys right before work, bring your whole day down. I am guilty of one thing setting off another thing, which sets off another thing to where the end of the day I am ready for a big blow out and let it out in annoyance with my child or husband. When all along I had the power to choose how I wanted to react to my day. So while this may not be a craft I found on pinterest, it is definitely something I want to try. I am going to choose joy. Choose joy in the stress. Choose joy in the anger filled time. Choose joy in the craziness of life. Choose JOY!
